Featuring Jessica Patterson

My three children and I escaped domestic violence with the help of Safehome in Overland Park, Kansas. Rebuilding our lives wasn’t easy, but with therapy, support, and time, we found healing. Safehome provided counseling, legal advocacy, and a safe place to start over.

“The staff gave me hope on my darkest days,” I said. “They helped me take back control of my life.”

That experience taught me resilience and compassion. Now, I advocate for others, giving back through my work and volunteer efforts. My family and I also open our home to women and children in need, offering them safety and support.
