Spring break is around the corner and if you don’t have any plans to travel this year, we have compiled a list of things going on in Kansas City to get you out of the house and having fun!

Crown Center

You can make for an entire day of fun in the Crown Center area.

Start with your little ones at The Kaleidoscope art studio! They use leftover material from Hallmark to allow kids to get artistic and creative all by themselves.

Crown Center is also home to Lego Land and Sea Life. Once, you’re finished creating at Kaleidoscope, go explore one or both of these centers. Your kids can get hands on with lego building or learn about the underwater world at the aquarium.

Finish your adventurous day with food from Fritz. Your kids will love that their food is delivered from a train and you’ll enjoy the delicious meal!

Get Outside

Weather permitting, Kansas City has many outdoor attractions to explore over the week of spring break.

The Kansas City Zoo is at the top of the list for outdoor spots. Get a hands on by exploring Stingray Bay and participate in feeding throughout the day! You can rest your feet and enjoy a ride on the African Sky Safari. The zoo has so many animals to observe that you could spend the entire day there. You can bring a packed lunch or purchase food at one of the cafes!

If you want to enjoy nature, check out the Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. There are beautiful hiking trails, unique  gardens, including the Monet Garden. Enjoy the arboretum by yourself or take your family and let them get their energy out through endless exploring. Even better, admission is free on Tuesdays!

Sports

If your family enjoys sports be sure to check out National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame for two floors of basketball fun from slam dunk challenges to sports broadcasting from the ESPN-U desk. Depending on when your spring break hits, you can even enjoy a day at Kaufman Stadium or a Sporting Kansas City soccer game.
